I Scream Nails First Impressions

Ever since I saw a video from Kelli Marissa reviewing I Scream Nails for the first time, I had to try them, too. I loved everything about the brand, from the whimsical bottles, to the buttery formulas and I fell in love before even using them on myself! So when they had a site wide sale for buy 4 get 2 free, I had to jump on it! Here I'll show you swatches of 6 shades I bought in different finishes!

1. Mermaids Made Me

The first polish I tried was this gorgeous ocean blue glitter topper called Mermaids Made Me. It's got small metallic blue glitters in a clear base, and I managed to get full coverage in 3 coats. One thing you can also do with glitter polish you want to wear as a full coverage manicure, is to take a makeup sponge (like these ones I use from Target) to dab the glitters on the nail. The sponge will soak up the excess clear base and leave loads of glitters to apply to your nails! Be forewarned, though, it's a messy process! I definitely recommend using some kind of cuticle barrier, like liquid latex, to protect your nails. 2. UFOhhh

The next shade I tried was called UFOhhh, another glitter topper. I managed to get this to full coverage in just 2 coats! I love the purple holographic glitters in this, as well as the extra holographic sparkles! It creates such a beautiful combo, and a stunning manicure!

3. Devil's Dust

The third shade, and the last of the glitter toppers, was Devil's Dust. This polish is a stunning copper glitter suspended in a clear base. I got perfect coverage in 2 coats and I can't wait to do some nail art with this. How gorgeous would it look as a beachy manicure with Devil's Dust as sand and Mermaids Made Me as sparkly ocean water? So in love!

4. Sherbet Blast

Next, I tried the only creme polish I purchased, Sherbet Blast! It's a lovely pale pink, reminiscent of cotton candy! It's so smooth, buttery and self-leveling! It took 2 coats for full opacity, which in my opinion is great for a more pastel type shade!

5. 100% Goddess

This shade is a stunning, sheer opalescent color with pink and purple shifting pigments. It's such a subtle shade in indirect light, but when you see it in sunlight it's absolutely stunning! I love this shade by itself as a sheer wash of iridescent color, and over other colors to transform them into something even more special!

6. Pure Angel

This last shade had to have been my favorite of the whole bunch! Pure Angel is a champagne shimmer with a subtle green shift and oh my gosh it's gorgeous! I've already used it as a full manicure and in nail art! I'm obsessed with how sparkly it is no matter what angle you look at it from and how it transforms completely over other shades! Definitely recommend this one!
