If you know me, you know I am obsessed with crystals and holographic goodness. So that means this collection from Cirque Colors was so perfect for me, because it delivers on both accounts. In this article I'll introduce you to the Cirque 2021 Facets Collection, six gorgeous new shades that will be part of their permanent line, along with previous year's facets polishes. Each polish does have a jelly base, so it is intentionally sheer on the first coat, but with the amount of sparkle added, they can be easily built up to full opacity in 2-3 coats depending on your nail length. So sit back, grab your favorite snack and beverage, and let's get into some new polish!
*Please note that I did not use a top coat in these swatches. Because they are textured with the different sized holo flecks, I recommend 2 coats of your favorite glossy top coat. Here is a link to one of my all time favorite top coats!*
Aquamarine
Up first in the collection that I tried was Aquamarine. This pale blue jelly shade is jam packed with holographic flakes in varying sizes. The size differences in the flakes really add so much dimension and sparkle, it truly makes you feel like you have gemstones on your nails. I have a special connection with this shade because I'm a March baby and my birthstone is Aquamarine! Have you found your birthstone in any of the Facets collections?
2. Champagne Diamond
Next, I tried Champagne Diamond. This pale nude jelly is also packed with a ton of holographic flakes. This color is perfect for work environments where you can't wear bright flashy polish, but you still want to sparkle. It would be a gorgeous color for weddings or other formal events, as well.
3. Fire Opal
This shade had to have been my favorite in the bunch. It's a bright, fiery red jelly with tons of holo flakes. It's so vibrant and gorgeous I didn't want to take it off! It's definitely a statement polish!
4. Pink Diamond
Pink diamond is a pale pink jelly polish that, along with all the other shades, is loaded with holo. I'm obsessed with how soft and delicate this polish is. I feel like this color goes hand in hand with Champagne Diamond in that is soft enough in in-direct light to be work appropriate, but packs a punch in direct light with the holographic sparkles. It's a great in-between shade for seasonal transitions or pallet cleansers for when you don't know what you want to wear on your nails.
5. Spinel
Next up is Spinel, a gorgeous plum purple jelly shade with holographic flakes. This shade is deep and gorgeous for any occasion, and it's great for people who want a dark polish without wanting to wear a black polish. It's also super vibrant and sparkles like crazy in any lighting. I can't wait to do some witchy nail art with it!
6. Tsavorite
Last up in the collection is Tsavorite! It's a beautiful green jelly that has all the holo sparkle! This shade makes me think of fresh spring grass with all the texture in it. It would be great for springy nail art, but also Christmas tree nail art! It's such a versatile shade that can be worn any time of year. Plus, I just love green nail polish!
I loved every single shade in the collection, that's for sure. I'm such a sucker for holographic beauty and gemstones, and this collection did not disappoint! Youcanpurchase the collection here (this is not an affiliate link). Be sure to let me know if you'll be picking up any of the shades, and if so which ones? I'd love to hear from you about your favorite Facets polishes, either from this year's release or previous years! Be sure to follow me on Instagram at @nailtimewithlex for more content!
